Well, it has now been a full year since I moved to the DC area, started using my abulsme@radix.net email address, and began this "Top Ten List".

The biggest purpose of this list (aside from being something fun to entertain myself) has been to keep in touch with old friends. And for the large part that has worked. It has also had the interesting side effect of a number of people actively competeing each month to win. While sometimes this has been annoying, for the most part it has been a lot of fun.

Over the course of the last year 40 email addresses have made it onto the Top Ten List. And while there are a few people who have had multiple email addresses, that translates into almost as many people. I greatly appreciate the mail I've gotton from all of you. It has provided information, entertainment, and at time support and company. Thank you all. I look forward to hearing from you all a lot more over the next year. (Especially those of you who I haven't heard from in awhile. Drop me a line and tell me how life is going!)

The last year has been a good year. One in which I left behind college life and moved into the "real world". I've been working at a job I enjoy, I have a nice apartment, a nice car, and am now paying down debt instead of building it up. I've even made a few new friends. Everything is heading in the right direction.

So thanks again to everybody for your parts in that, be it for things we've done in person, or just for the email you've sent. It has been a good year. I'm looking forward to the future.

As usual, I provide a graph of all those people who averaged more than one message per day. The graph is actually pretty interesting. The lead changed hands several times over the course of the last year, and the winner did not actually take the lead until a few weeks before the end of the contest.
